This article guides the agent in applying for and paying for a national ID on the user's behalf. This service enables Rwandan citizens to apply for a national ID. The applicant must have a citizen application number. A citizen without the application number should carry any identification and reach out to the nearest sector office to request it from the Civil Registration Officer (CRO) before applying for the National ID. The service is provided by the National Identification Agency (NIDA).
The processing time of the application for a national ID is 30 days, and its price is Rwf 500.
Prerequisites:
Applicants should have a citizen application number (child ID).
Applicants should be 16 years and above.
Follow these simple steps to apply for a national ID for a citizen as an agent:
Visit the Irembo platform at www.irembo.gov.rw and log in to your agent account.
Click the "new application" icon to start a new application.
under Identification, click on Application of National ID.
Click on "Application for National ID" under the services displayed.
Choose who you are applying for (applicant or bulk) and click on Apply.
Note: you may choose bulk to pay for more than one application using a single billing number or self to pay for only one application.
Enter the required Applicant’s details (citizen application number, biometric sector & date, and place of collection), and click on next.
Note: The National ID card will be sent to the sector where your biometric data was collected.
Verify the information is accurate, enter the applicant’s phone number or email address, check the verification box, and click Submit.
NOTE: Please check in with the applicant to ensure all information provided is true and correct.

NOTE: After assisting the applicants to apply and successfully pay via IremboGov, they receive a feedback notification informing them when to provide the biometric data. After that, the application is processed by N.I.D.A. and is ready for pickup at the selected sector after 30 days.
