How Agents can apply for Issuing recommendation letters to persons with disabilities.

This service is designed to help persons with disabilities get a recommendation letter, which will facilitate their participation in all activities that benefit them and enhance their well-being. The service is provided by the National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPD). This article acts as a brief guide for Agents when applying for the service on the user’s behalf.


The processing time is 2 days, and the service is free of charge.


Prerequisites

  • A valid Rwandan national ID or passport (for foreigners).

  • Company TIN for companies.

  • A valid phone number or email address.

Required attachments

  • NCPD disability card



Follow these simple steps to help a user apply for the service.


  1. Visit the Irembo platform at www.irembo.gov.rw  and log into your agent account.


  1. A small window will pop up. Fill in both your phone number and your password, then click login.


  1. Click the "new application" icon to start a new application.


  1. Under “Family,"  click the "Recommendation Letter for Persons with Disabilities".


  1. Click "Apply" to start the application process.


  1. Fill in the applicant’s details, including citizenship. If applying on behalf of an organization, enter the company TIN.


  1. Upload the required attachments in the right format and click Next.


NOTE: All attachments should be in PDF format and less than 500 KB in size.


  1. Verify that the user’s information is accurate, enter their phone number and/or email address, check the verification box, and click Submit. 

  2. An application number (B2…...) will be provided for the user to track their application status.


Once the user’s application is approved, they will receive an SMS and email notification. They can download their permit from the Irembo platform using their application number.
