How an Agent can Apply for an Agrochemical Fumigation Operating License.

This service allows a business operating butchery to register and comply with Rwanda Inspectorate, Competition, and Consumer Protection Authority (RICA) regulations. This registration certificate is then used to obtain an operating license. Here is a guide Agents can follow to help a user apply for this service.


The processing time is 14 days, and the service fee is Rwf 50,000.


Prerequisites:

  • A company or an individual must have a Tax Identification Number (TIN).

  • Applicants should have a valid phone number or email address.


Required attachments (5)

  • Business Registration Certificate from RDB.

  • Notarized diploma of qualified personnel as determined by the law governing agrochemicals in Rwanda.

  • Notarized contract of qualified personnel.

  • Records of agrochemicals used during fumigation.

  • Records of fumigation certificates issued.


Conditional attachments (2)

  • A copy of the operational license issued by RICA (if any)

  • Passport copy

Optional attachments (2)

  • Training certificate for qualified personnel

  • Copy of certificate of premise registration issued by RICA


Follow these simple steps to apply for an Agrochemical Fumigation Operating License:


  1. Visit the Irembo platform at www.irembo.gov.rw and log into your agent account.


  1. A small window will pop up. Fill in both your phone number and your password, then click login.


  1. Click the "new application" icon to start a new application.


  1. Under Trade and Industry, click on “Business operator license.


  1. Select "Agrochemical Fumigation Operating License" and click  "Apply."

  1.  Fill in the applicant's details (select if the applicant is the business owner or legal representative, add the age group and other required personal information).



  1. Enter business details as prompted.


  1. Upload the required attachments in the correct format and click Next


Note: Double-check that the uploaded files are in PDF format and meet the size requirements.


  1.  Verify that the applicant’s information is accurate, enter their phone number and/or email address, check the verification box, and click "Submit."

  1. A billing Number/ID (88...) will be generated for payment; click Pay

  2. Applicants can choose their preferred mode of payment. For more information about payment modes, click here.

Note

  • Upon successful submission, the application will be processed by RICA. Applicants will receive an email or SMS notification about any changes in the application status.


  • Once the processing officers approve their application, the applicants will receive their e-certificate via email or can download it on IremboGov platform.
