This service is offered to district veterinarians who seek to acquire semen from the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) for their animal breeding needs. The district veterinarian applies on behalf of the applicant. This article provides agents with guidelines on how to assist users who want to apply and pay for the purchase of Bovine Semen(Intanga).
The price depends on the type of semen you are purchasing, and the processing time is 3 days.
Prerequisites:
Only district veterinarians can apply for this service.
Applicants must have Rwandan national IDs.
Follow the following steps to learn how to help an applicant apply for “semen bovine purchase.”
Visit the Irembo platform at www.irembo.gov.rw and log into your agent account.
A small window will pop up. Fill in both your phone number and your password, then click login.
Click the "new application" icon to start a new application.
Under Agriculture and Livestock, click on “Purchase the bovine semen".
Click apply.
Fill in the applicant's details (national ID, work email address, and resident details).
Select the type of semen the applicant wishes to purchase, fill in the quantity, and the price will immediately reflect under the total box. Then select the nearest RAB station and click next.
Verify the information is accurate, enter a phone number and/or email address, check the verification box, and click Submit.
An application number will be generated (B2……..) to follow up on the application status.
After the application is successfully submitted, the district confirms stock availability and issues a billing number for the user to proceed with payment.
The applicant will receive a notification informing them when to go to the RAB office to get the semen.
