This service allows vehicle owners to book and pay for a second technical inspection visit after failing the technical inspection during the first visit.
This service is provided by the Rwanda National Police (RNP) through IremboGov.
Key Information Before Applying:
Second visits must be booked within 14 days of the failed first visit
The second visit costs 20% of the first visit fee
Exceeding 14 days requires payment of the full first visit fee
Applicants must:
Have repaired their vehicle.
Have no outstanding traffic fines.
Steps to Apply
Step 1: Visit Irembo at www.irembo.gov.rw. Log in to your Agent account.
Step 2: Search for Motor Vehicle Technical Testing Second Visit Appointment under the Vehicle Technical Inspection & Emission Testing category
Step 3: Click Apply.
Step 3: Select who you are applying on behalf of, whether an individual or a company, and enter the vehicle details. Then click next
Step 4: Verify the information and submit the application.
Step 5: A billing number (88…) will be generated. Click Pay.
After Applying
Upon successful payment, the applicant receives an SMS or email confirming the inspection date, time, and center.
They must bring their vehicle to the inspection center on the confirmed date and time, along with the payment confirmation message they received.
After passing the inspections, the certificate can be downloaded from IremboGov.
