This service is offered by the Ministry of Interior (MININTER) to businesses involved in fireworks usage (Display). This service aims to regulate the safe Usage of fireworks within the jurisdiction. This article acts as a brief guide for Agents when applying for the service on the user’s behalf.
The processing time is 30 Days, and the service is free of charge.
Prerequisites
Groups, companies, schools, and Religious organizations must have their TIN or gazette numbers.
Application number for Fireworks import permit.
Applicants should have a valid phone number.
Required attachments
A recommendation letter from the city of Kigali or the district where the fireworks are going to be displayed
A copy of a contract with a qualified person for handling fireworks
A document explaining the intended use of the fireworks
Detailed plan of the type and quantity of fireworks to be used

Follow these simple steps to help a user apply for an Authorization to display fireworks.
Visit the Irembo platform at www.irembo.gov.rw and log into your agent account.
A small window will pop up. Fill in both your phone number and your password, then click login.
Click the "new application" icon to start a new application.
Click on the “Authorization to display fireworks” service under “Explosive And Fireworks Permits”.
Click “Apply” to start an application.
Fill in the user’s approved Fireworks import permit application number.
Enter the fireworks display details and state the reason for display.
Note: Click on Add fireworks display details and fill in the information as prompted.
Attach the supporting documents in the right format, then click Next.
Verify that the applicant’s information entered is correct, then check the confirmation box and click "Submit.”
The applicant will receive an application number ( B2……) via SMS/email so they can track their application progress.
Upon submission of the application and supporting documents, the applicant will receive a confirmation SMS and/or email.
Once the Ministry of Interior receives and approves the application, the applicant will be notified, and they can download their permit on IremboGov.
