The Ministry of Interior (MININTER) offers this service to companies to import fireworks. This service aims to regulate the safe importation of fireworks within the jurisdiction. This article acts as a brief guide for Agents when applying for the service on the user’s behalf.
The processing time is 30 Days, and the service is free of charge.
Prerequisites:
Groups, companies, schools, and Religious organizations must have their TIN or gazette numbers.
Applicants should have a valid phone number.

Detailed description of the type and quantity of fireworks to be imported
Document indicating the country of import of the fireworks
A document explaining the intended use of Fireworks

A report on the use of any previous authorization to import fireworks

Follow these simple steps to help a user apply for a Fireworks import Permit.
Visit the Irembo platform at www.irembo.gov.rw and log into your agent account.
A small window will pop up. Fill in both your phone number and your password, then click login.
Click the "new application" icon to start a new application.
Click on the “Fireworks Import Permits” service under “Explosive And Fireworks Permits”.
Click "Apply" to start an application.
Enter the organizational TIN.
Imports details (Enter the reason the user is importing and select if it is the first time importing materials).
After clicking “add importation details,” a new tab will be displayed. Fill in the information as prompted, and submit.
Attach the supporting documents in the right format, then click Next.
Verify that the user’s information entered is accurate, then check the confirmation box and click “Submit”.
The user will receive an application number ( B2……) via SMS/email so they can track the progress of their application.
Upon submission of the application and supporting documents, the user will receive a confirmation SMS and/or email.
Once the Ministry of Interior receives and approves the user’s application, they will be notified, and they can download their permit on IremboGov.
