This service allows businesses and organizations to apply for the permit to place directional signposts in Kigali City. The service is provided and processed by the City of Kigali (CoK).
The processing time is 14 days, and the service is free of charge.
Prerequisites:
- Groups and companies, schools, churches must have their TIN or gazette number
- Applicants should have a valid phone number.

Follow these simple steps to help a user request for a Permit to place a directional signpost.
Visit the Irembo platform at www.irembo.gov.rw and log into your agent account.
A small window will pop up. Fill in both your phone number and your password, then click login.
Click the "new application" icon to start a new application.
Click on the "Permit to place a directional signpost” service under the “Infrastructure and Environment category”.
Click "Apply" to start an application.
Enter Applicant’s Details
Enter the Representative details as prompted.
Enter Sign Post Details as prompted.
Attach the supporting documents in the right format, then click Next.
Verify that all the user’s information is accurate, then check the confirmation box and click "Submit.”
An application number ( B2……) will be shared with the applicant via SMS/email for them to easily track their application.
Upon submitting the user’s application and supporting documents, they will receive a confirmation SMS and/or email. After the processing office approves the user’s application, they will receive their e-certificate via email or download it via Irembo.
