This service allows agents on behalf of individuals or organizations to apply and make payment for acquiring Forest Planting Materials including tree seeds, seedlings, grafted planting stocks, and cuttings to plant their own forests. The Rwanda Forestry Authority (RFA) provides the service.
The processing time is 5 days, and the price depends on the quantity of the seed type.
Prerequisites.
Before you begin the user’s application process, ensure that the applicant has the following:
- A valid Rwandan national ID or passport (for foreigners).
- Company TIN for organizations.
- A valid phone number or email address.
Follow these simple steps to help an applicant apply for Forest Planting Materials: tree seeds, seedlings, grafted planting stocks, and cuttings.
Visit the Irembo platform at www.irembo.gov.rw and log into your agent account.
A small window will pop up. Fill in both your phone number and your password, then click login.
Click the "new application" icon to start a new application.
Under Infrastructure and Environment, click on “Forest planting materials: tree seeds, seedlings, grafted planting stocks, cuttings.
Read the service description carefully and click "Apply" to start the application process.
Fill in the applicant’s details, such as the applicant's citizenship phone number, role of the company, and company TIN (if you are applying on behalf of an organization)
Note: Once you click on “Add seed details,” a new tab will appear.
Here, you'll need the applicant to specify the type of seed, seed name, and quantity.
Select the collection center and click Next.
Verify that the applicant’s information is true, enter their phone number and/or email address, check the verification box, and click Submit.
A billing Number/ID (88…) will be generated for payment. Click Pay

Upon payment, the applicant will receive a notification confirming their payment. They can collect their purchased seeds at the chosen collection office when payment has been made.
