This article guides the agent on how to apply and pay for Rwandan Nationality by Acquisition—Special Skills or Talent on the user's behalf. To acquire Rwandan nationality based on special skills or talents, the applicant must possess unique skills or talents required in Rwanda. The applicant must provide a document issued by the relevant ministry, addressed to the Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration. This document should explain why the applicant's special skills or talent are essential for Rwanda and justify granting Rwandan nationality by acquisition. The service is provided by the Directorate-General of Immigration and Emigration (DGIE).
The service price is RWF 10,000.
Prerequisites:
Applicants with passports should have an ordinary, diplomatic, or service passport.
Applicants should have a national ID/foreign/refugee ID, refugee travel document, CEPGL, laissez-passer, or any other form of identification.

Follow this guide to help a user apply for Rwandan nationality acquisition by Special skills or Talent.
Visit the Irembo platform at www.irembo.gov.rw and log into your agent account.
A small window will pop up. Fill in both your phone number and your password, then click login.
Click the "new application" icon to start a new application.
Under Immigration and Emigration, click on “Rwandan nationality by acquisition.”
Select “the ground of application by special skills or talent ” and click Apply.
Fill in the applicant’s details and identification document type, residence details, phone number, and email. Enter their parent's names, residence details, etc.
Upload the required documents in the correct format.
Verify that the applicant’s information is true, enter their phone number and/or email address, check the verification box, and click Submit.
A billing Number/ID (88…) will be generated for payment. Click Pay.

Notes:
Upon payment, their application will be processed by DGIE. The applicant will receive an email or SMS notifying you about any change in the status of your application.
Once your Rwandan nationality is approved, the Rwanda Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration will notify you on how to pay for your granted nationality.
