The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda(NISR) issues visas to conduct surveys to anyone who intends to collect data in Rwanda. This article acts as a guide for Agents applying for the service on a user’s behalf.
The processing time is 30 days, and the service is Free of Charge.
Prerequisites.
Applicants should have a valid Rwandan National ID or Passport ID.
Applicants should have a valid phone number or email address.
Required Attachments.

Follow these simple steps to help a user apply for a Survey Visa Permit.
Visit the Irembo platform at www.irembo.gov.rw and log into your agent account.
A small window will pop up. Fill in both your phone number and your password, then click login.
Click the "new application" icon to start a new application.
Under the “Research and Statistics” category, select “Survey Visa Permit”.
Click Apply.
Enter the Application details;
Applicants type, and if it is an individual, continue to add their Identification ID.
The commissioning institution.
And the website, if any.
Enter the Applicant’s Address: Country, City, and Street.
Enter the Contact Person details;

Contact Person Address
Add the Research Details as prompted.
Upload the required document in the right format, then click Next.
Verify that the user’s information is accurate; enter their phone number and/or email address, check the verification box, and click Submit.
An application number (B2...) will be generated for the user to follow up on their application status.
NOTE:
If the applicant spends a month without any updates about the application, advise them to contact NISR by calling 4321 or emailing info@statistics.gov.rw.
After the application has been successfully submitted to and approved by NISR, the applicant receives an SMS or email notifying them that the certificate is available and that they can download it from the IremboGov platform.
