This registration intends to identify all privately owned weather stations operating in Rwanda to establish working relations with METEO RWANDA. This article acts as a brief guide for Agents when applying for the service on the user’s behalf.
The processing time is 5 days, and the service is free of charge.

Applicants should have a valid Rwandan national ID number.
Applicants should have a valid phone number or email address.

Follow these simple steps to help a user apply for a Provisional Certificate of Privately Owned Weather Station.
Visit the Irembo platform at www.irembo.gov.rw and log into your agent account.
A small window will pop up. Fill in both your phone number and your password, then click login.
Click the "new application" icon to start a new application.
Under the “Infrastructure And Environment” category, select “Meteo Services.”
Select “Provisional Certificate of Privately Owned Weather station” from the drop-down menu.
Click “Apply” to start an application.
Enter the applicant's details as prompted.
Enter the station details;
Province
Station Coordinates
Station Name
Climate parameters
Technology of the station.
Verify that the user’s information is accurate; enter their phone number and/or email address, check the verification box, and click Submit.
An application number (B2...) will be generated for the user to follow up on the application status.
NOTE:
Once Meteo Rwanda receives and approves the user's applications, they will receive an SMS or email notifying them that the certificate is available and that they can download it from the IremboGov platform.
