The Ministry of National Unity & Civic Engagement - MINUBUMWE has established a service that allows both Rwandans and foreigners to visit Genocide Memorial Sites across the country. This service aims to provide an opportunity for people to learn about and pay respects to the victims of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda through IremboGov.

No, this service is free of charge.
Can an applicant visit multiple Genocide Memorial sites with one application?
No, you should submit a separate application for each memorial site the applicant wishes to visit.

You must apply at least 2 days before the applicant’s desired visit date.
What are the allowed visiting hours at the Memorial Sites?
The visiting hours for Genocide Memorial sites are from 9 AM to 4 PM every day.
How long does it take to process this service?
The processing time is 2 days.
What types of identification documents are accepted for this service?
For Rwandan citizens, a valid national ID is required.
Foreigners residing in Rwanda are required to have a foreigner’s ID.
EAC or CEPGL citizens are required to have a valid passport.
