This service allows users to pay the fee that corresponds to an application for nationality renunciation. Nationality renunciation applications are submitted at DGIE (Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration) offices, at the Rwandan High Commission, or at Rwandan embassies.
The processing time depends on the case, and the price is Rwf 150,000.
Prerequisites:
The applicant should have their Rwandan national ID or a passport number
An applicant should be of the age of maturity.
The applicant should have a valid phone number and an email address.
Follow these simple steps to help a user apply for the “Renunciation of Rwandan Nationality.”
Visit www.irembo.gov.rw and log into your agent account.
A small window will pop up. Fill in both your phone number and your password, then click login.
Click the “new application” icon to start a new application.
Under the Immigration and Emigration category, select “Rwandan Nationality”
Select the service National Renunciation Payment from the drop-down menu.
Click Apply.
Fill in the applicant’s Full name and Identification details by clicking in the blank space to input the required details (*: means mandatory information).
Verify that the user’s information is accurate, enter their phone number and/or email address, check the verification box, and click Submit.
A billing number/ID (88…) will be generated so the user can make their payment; click Pay.

Note:
After the user has made payment for their application, they will receive a notification from the Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration (DGIE) offices for further instructions.
